Alumex PLC | Executive – Accounting
Job Summary: Carrying out activities for preparing financial accounts and budgets including other necessary analyses and generate other accounting reports in fulfilling the functions of the finance department in accordance with the standards and other legislations affecting financial reporting and taxation.
The main job functions of this position will include,
- Checking and verifying transactions for correct account allocation and posting
- Ensure proper financial reporting – Monthly, Quarterly & Annually
- Perpetration of monthly balance sheet schedules and variance analysis reports
- Ensuring statutory reporting and payment compliance
- Ensuring completeness of bank reconciliation
- Reconciliation of related party balances and makes required corrections
- Oversee Account receivable and Account payable
- Oversee general office expenses
- Annual budgets and forecast
- Contribute to the overall business by ensuring up to date and value adding financial management information, support and services are given by the department
We seek a dedicated, result oriented young individual with good communication skills and sound personal attributes for the aforementioned position.
The suitable candidate should be possessing
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance or commerce from recognized university.
- Professional part qualification in CA Sri Lanka, ACCA or CIMA (UK).
- 2 Years’ experience in similar capacity with exposure in exposure in handling final accounts & MIS.
- Exposure to computerized accounting application packages and ERP systems.
- Previous working experience with SAP will be an advantage.
- Sound knowledge accounting standards (SLRFS/LKAS)
- Team player with analytical mindset
- Have good verbal and written Sinhala & English language proficiency with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels within the Company.
- Age should be below 32 years.
